Problem

How to check the version of Microsoft .NET installed on the machine?

Solution

Please follow the steps mentioned here:

  1. Click on ‘My Computer’.
  2. Navigate to the drive letter on which the Operating System is installed (generally this would be the ‘C’ drive) and open it.
  3. Now, navigate to the ‘Windows’ directory and open it.
  4. Inside, navigate to the ‘Microsoft.NET’ directory and open it.
  5. Inside this, open the ‘Framework’ directory.
  6. There will be one or more folders here having names starting with the letter ‘v’. The names of these folders (numeric values) indicate the versions of .NET Framework installed on the machine.

We hope that this resolved the problem for you. If it did not, please contact us.
